Special features:
Made from aluminium tubes which have much thicker walls than standard one-piece moulds and are therefore considerably stronger.
The tubes are seamless so there are no mould lines to trim away afterwards.
They are self-supporting. They have a built in stand which keeps them stable even when there is wick and mould seal putty protruding below. No need to spend money on separate stands.
Our moulds have notches cut in the rim to support the wick stick across the centre of the mould - this prevents inaccurately set wicks or the stick slipping when the mould is moved. The notches are placed diagonally in relation to the base which allows moulds to stand close together to maximise workshop space without the wick sticks interfering with each other.
Every mould has its size engraved under the base for easy identification in a busy candle-making workshop.
Aluminium conducts heat away 5 times faster than steel and considerably faster than glass or plastic. The thicker walls on these moulds means that they conduct heat away faster than any other mould on the market, which helps reduce setting times.
They are fully resistant to the corrosive effects of chemicals such as dyes and scents used in candles.
Our unique design and production method means that longer lengths are possible than is the case with standard one-piece aluminium moulds. Our moulds are available in lengths up to 24" as standard in some widths.
As the manufacturers we are in a position to supply any quantity of any size mould. We can also produce moulds to special order in any reasonable length and a wide variety of widths. Other shapes will be made available in due course.
